The Lifeboat Group is a family office based in Southampton, UK.

Our mission is to help manage the assets of a local family who founded and operate one of the world's largest tea brands.

We do this by adapting a multi-asset endowment style portfolio allocation: investing all the way from blue chip companies, like Google, to smaller business. We also invest in other asset classes, such as commercial real estate.

All of our investments are underpinned by a very sharp focus on the Buffett-Munger investment principles, of which we are ardent pupils.

Value, patience & prudence.

Recently we have focussed our efforts on investing in high quality niche UK manufacturing businesses.

In 2023, we acquired Formara, the UK’s leading customer and technology led print marketing business.

In 2024 we acquired Appletex, the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier of stockinette textile.

We continue to search for outstanding businesses to invest in.
